After gathering a delicious stash of sweets, a group of mischievous spiders swoops in and scatters his treats across multiple worlds. Now, it’s up to you to help Om Nom retrieve his stolen candy by solving clever physics-based puzzles. With fresh mechanics, new allies, and even trickier rope-cutting challenges, this adventure is sweeter than ever!
How to play Cut the Rope 2
Cut the Rope 2 is a 2D physics-based puzzle game that brings Om Nom back for another candy-filled adventure. Using intuitive swipe and tap mechanics—replicated with the mouse on PC—you’ll interact with objects by clicking or dragging to manipulate ropes, platforms, and various contraptions. The goal in each level is to deliver the large, colorful candy safely to Om Nom while collecting three Medals for full completion. These Medals are earned by gathering all three stars, collecting a set amount of fruit, and completing a unique challenge.
Each level functions like an intricate obstacle course, with moving parts and interactive elements that influence how the candy behaves. Suspended by ropes, the candy reacts naturally to physics, including gravity and momentum. You’ll need to use slopes, pendulums, and even Om Nom’s position strategically to navigate around pitfalls and hazards that could destroy the candy.
A major addition in Cut the Rope 2 is the Nommies—adorable creatures with unique abilities that assist Om Nom. Some interact on touch, while others require tapping to activate their powers. Additionally, you can earn coins to purchase four handy power-ups: Bombs for explosive movement, Balloons for lifting objects, Teleporters for instant repositioning, and Hints for solving tricky puzzles. With fresh mechanics and clever level design, every stage offers a new challenge to test your problem-solving skills!
